Southern Trails 2016 Santa Stop This Sunday

Southern Trails is hosting the community's annual Santa Stop event this Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

Stop by the Southern Trails Recreation Center to enjoy this fun holiday event. Children can start by writing their letter to Santa and drop it in the North Pole mailbox. There will be free ShutterBooth photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. There will be a gourmet hot beverage station and lots of sweet treats for everyone to enjoy.

Pearland Boy Scout troop receives 100th Eagle Scout Award

Congratulations are in order for Boy Scout Troop 464 on receiving their 100th Eagle Scout Award. The troop is of First United Methodist Church and is based in Pearland. The boys awarded the Eagle Scout each carried out a community service project and dedicated over 100 hours. The troop is known in Pearland for hosting the Pancake Supper Dinner and working with Keep Pearland Beautiful. You can learn more about the troop and their achievements here!

Hometown Christmas Festival

The city of Pearland is hosting the annual Hometown Christmas Festival December 2-3 at Memorial Hermann Pavilion. The event kicks off on Friday at 7 p.m. with the lighting of the City Christmas Tree by Mayor Tom Reid and a surprise guest. Attendees can expect horse and carriage rides, live entertainment, a market and hills of snow. Saturday begins at noon and will feature the gift market in addition to cookies with Santa, karaoke, performances and a dusk light show.
