The city of Pearland is hosting the annual Hometown Christmas Festival December 2-3 at Memorial Hermann Pavilion. The event kicks off on Friday at 7 p.m. with the lighting of the City Christmas Tree by Mayor Tom Reid and a surprise guest. Attendees can expect horse and carriage rides, live entertainment, a market and hills of snow. Saturday begins at noon and will feature the gift market in addition to cookies with Santa, karaoke, performances and a dusk light show.
The fifth annual Boo-Gie Nights is tonight, October 21 at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The event, which includes a Haunted Casino, begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $45 for general admission and can be purchased at the door or online. Additionally, there is a VIP ticket for $75. The event will include a casino, costume contest, snacks and dancing. The event is sponsored by the Community Assistance Providers (CAP) of Greater Pearland. The Annual Santa Open House in Southern Trails is set for Sunday, December 2nd from noon to 5 pm. This year’s festivities will take place in the model home park at the community entrance off FM 518 and Southern Trails Drive. Santa will be ready to greet kids of all ages in the Ashton Woods Lennox model at 11901 Maybrook Court. Guests can take home a complimentary family photo with Santa and enjoy gourmet coffee, cocoa or hot chocolate.
